🌅 1. Dawn Coastal Pickup & Transit Your guide picks you up directly from your beach resort in an open-roof safari vehicle. You will head inland, climbing away from the humid coast. A short rest stop is made along the highway for refreshments and a bathroom break....
🔴 2. Arrival at Bachuma Gate & Mid-Morning Game Drive Arrive at Tsavo East's Bachuma Gate around 09:30 AM. Once your park fees are processed, your pop-up roof goes up for your first game drive. Scan the wide-open horizons for massive herds of Cape buffalo, giraffes, and Tsavo's famous dust-red elephants caked in iron-rich mud....
⛺ 3. Check-In & Lunch at Sentrim Tsavo East Arrive at Sentrim Tsavo East Camp by midday. Check into your permanent safari tent, which is equipped with a private bathroom, hot shower, and electricity. Head to the main thatched dining area for a fresh buffet lunch, then spend a couple of hours relaxing by the camp's swimming pool....
🦁 4. Late Afternoon Game Drive At 04:00 PM, head back out into the open savannah as the daytime heat begins to break. Your guide will use their radio network to track large prides of Tsavo lions, cheetahs scanning for prey, and herds of zebras moving toward water sources before nightfall....

🌅 1. Sunrise Game Drive & Mzima Springs Your day starts with an early wake-up call at dawn (around 06:00 AM). You will head straight to Mzima Springs, a remarkable oasis where millions of gallons of crystal-clear water filter through volcanic rocks daily. Accompanied by an armed park ranger, you will take a short walking safari along the shaded banks to an underwater viewing tank. This allows you to view hippos and crocodiles swimming from below the surface....
🌋 2. Breakfast & The Shetani Lava Flow Return to the lodge for a full breakfast and check out. As you exit Tsavo West, you will drive across the Shetani Lava Flow—a massive, black jagged ribbon of rock created by a volcanic eruption just a few centuries ago. Local folklore named it "Shetani" (Devil in Swahili) because early residents thought the fiery eruption was the work of the devil....
🐘 3. Transit to Amboseli & Afternoon Arrival You will cross into Amboseli National Park around midday. The dust turns from Tsavo's deep red to a pale grey. As you enter the park, you will notice an immediate change: the trees vanish, replaced by wide plains and lush swamps fed by Kilimanjaro's melting snow. You will catch your first glimpses of Amboseli's famous elephant herds—often walking in long, single-file lines.]...
🍽️ 4. Lunch & Mid-Afternoon Rest Check into your new lodge or tented camp and sit down for a fresh lunch. Take an hour or two to recharge, look through your photos, or watch animals from the camp's viewing deck....
🏔️ 5. Evening Game Drive & Observation Hill At 04:00 PM, head out for a game drive timed perfectly with the clearing clouds. As the afternoon cools, Mount Kilimanjaro often sheds its cloud cover, revealing its snow-capped peak. You will drive to Observation Hill, a pyramid-shaped volcanic hill that you can walk up. From the summit, you get a panoramic look at the entire park, the vast swamps filled with wallowing hippos, and the elephants grazing below....

🍽️ 2. Bush Breakfast & Checking Out Return to the lodge at 08:30 AM for a full buffet breakfast. Take one last look at the watering hole from the restaurant deck as the animals gather for their morning drink. Pack your bags, clear any incidentals at the front desk, and check out by 10:00 AM....
🚐 3. Last En-Route Game Tracking Enjoy a slow, final en-route game drive as you make your way toward the sanctuary's main exit gate. Keep your camera out for any last-minute sightings of giraffes, zebras, or waterbucks standing against the backdrop of the hills....
🛣️ 4. The Highway Descent & Souvenir Stop Once you reach the tarmac, your driver will steer the vehicle south along the Mombasa-Nairobi highway. About halfway through the return trip, your guide will make a scheduled rest stop at a reliable roadside facility.
