This 3-day Kenyan highland safari departs north from Nairobi to seamlessly connect two distinct, close-proximity ecosystems, starting with a drive into the misty cloud forests of Aberdare National Park to view unique forest wildlife from an iconic floodlit tree lodge. After a night spent watching elephants and rare giant forest hogs visit the lodge’s mineral salt lick, you will cross the Equator onto the high-altitude Laikipia Plateau to explore the private Ol Pejeta Conservancy. The itinerary packs high-utility experiences into a short timeframe, including a visit to a rescued chimpanzee sanctuary, an encounter with the world’s final two northern white rhinos under 24/7 armed guard, and a sunrise tracking drive against the backdrop of Mount Kenya before returning to the capital by the third afternoon.
