Your driver-guide will secure your luggage into a 4x4 Safari Land Cruiser, and you will quickly head north to beat the morning rush-hour traffic....

The Scenic Highlands & The Equator Crossing Drive through the historic agricultural lands of Central Kenya, enjoying spectacular views of the jagged, snow-capped peaks of Mount Kenya out of your right window on a clear morning. Around mid-morning, you will reach the vibrant frontier town of Nanyuki to cross the official Equator line. Your guide will pull over for a quick restroom break, an optional water-drainage demonstration, and a photo opportunity by the landmark sign....
⛺ 3. Arrival & Lunch at Sweetwaters Tented Camp Enter the gates of the private Ol Pejeta Conservancy by 11:30 AM. You will drive through the reserve to check into your accommodation—most famously Sweetwaters Tented Camp or a similar luxury eco-lodge. Unpack in your permanent canvas tent, which features a private en-suite bathroom and electricity. Sit down for a fresh buffet lunch overlooking the camp's private, heavily visited watering hole....
🐒 4. Visit the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary At 03:30 PM, head out for your first afternoon game activity. Your first stop is the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary, the only place in Kenya where you can see chimps. Formed in partnership with the Jane Goodall Institute, this riverine rescue center provides a safe home for orphaned and abused chimpanzees rescued from the black market across West and Central Africa.
